Woke up this morning and projectile vomited. Been throwing up and/or chitting brown water all day a long with migraines and body aches. It's been 27 hours since I last ate anything and I feel like I'll lose all my gains if this carries on much more. Already had an emotional breakdown hunched over a bin full of sick srs.
What should you eat when you have stomach flu?

Mild flavored soups and crackers. Easy to go down and easy to come up.
I would recommend skipping anything rice based since you're puking. It holds it texture well and so feels exactly like you're puking rice. Blowing grains of rice out your nose after doesn't help the experience any either.Comment

make congee, it will help you hydrate and it's easy to make and eat. literally just lots of boiled water and rice.+Positive Crew+

My sickness craving is always Heinz cream of tomato soup with cheese toast to dip into it, god tier ill food (srs), but got neither atm. Might have to venture out to buy some if I can hack it later. Only had 4 hours sleepComment

I usually stick to sourdough bread and tomato soup in those situations OP.

BRAT (bananas, rice, apple sauce, toast) is the old school standard. You basically want bland, easily digestable, relatively high in fibre, and well tolerated. You don't have to be so strict and other miscers have said some great suggestions already. But you should be getting the theme of bland and simple carbs.🟩 1Comment

Yep, I'm from New Zealand, we are big on dairy over there and eat it with just about everything. But when you are sick its best to stay off it . You could maybe get away with some quality yoghurt for the beneficial bacteria but I wouldn't chance it. Of course individual results may varyJudo Crew

It's what my mum used to make me when I got ill as a kid. Sprinkle a bit of pepper and grated cheese on the soup for extra hnnnng. Simple and practically no protein but good for energy and relatively easy to digest. Also got a Pot Noodle🟩 2Comment
