There's a geomagnetic storm that is potentially going to make the northern lights visible as far south at Alabama.

This happened last May but it wasn't visible as far south. I got some pics in Chicago, but it was barely visible.

Get outside and check it out tonight boyos.

Ok it was hard to see with the naked eye yesterday but they were there . Took a pic with my iPhone outside my house and the colours were amazing. Packed up my real camera , Fuji XT5 and hit the road. I was really hoping to get a wicked pic of all the colours and the mountains as a silhouette , but someone threw the switch and turned them off .
I went back home and did come back later,but not picture worthy . Seems they were best right after it got dark . I’m heading out again this evening in hopes that I catch them at the right time .

I saw it at the beach too bro, it was red and green here outside Chicago. Tiny hints of color from 8-9 then fully visibly to the naked eye for about 10-15 min, then nothing.

The pics with my s22 ultra are like 5x more colorful than what I saw, but it was pretty fucking cool. Very rare to see it down here.

some dude posted it on our town's facebook page real time and said get down here if you want to see it, as I was heading home dozens of cars were on the way there, but it was already over.
