A fading Hollywood actress takes a substance that makes her hot/young again for 5 minutes. Is it about Botox or Ozempic? Does Demi Moore regret her choices? Why is a Hollywood film trying to make points about something they are totally obsessed with?Comment

I feel like this is a condition piece.
And they have so many peoples DNA. With AI helping further along scientific ventures, maybe this wont be too far away.
23andMe is in trouble. What happens to all the DNA data? : NPRComment

I watched it today and regret it. It was even worse than Everything Everywhere. I also went in blind, didn't even open this thread.
It just tried to be as grotesque as possible. The film just beats itself off thinking it's up there with David Lynch when it's not but it's more like that crappy Splice film.
Its a pity modern film releases have to be so crap. Remember the 90s when there was the awesome Nicolas Cage trifecta of The Rock, Face/Off and Con Air.

Everything is low budget arthouse nonsense now. Saw chunks of this at a bar and it just looked like a music video or OnlyFans ad.
Superhero bullshit killed movies and then A24 raped the corpse (and threw an Instagram filter over it.)Comment

I watched The Substance last night and it was very fucked. the ending was pretty weird. Definitely a disturbing movie, and slow in the first half, but the second half got more interesting. I suppose it gets it's theme across to just always be happy with who you are and what you have? I did like the way they made the people in charge of the industry so callous, and they did do a great job at being extremely fucked up towards the end. The movie doesn't really leave you with anything, i don't know maybe be careful gambling? I don't think i would ever recommend it to anyone.🟩 1Comment

Nice. Yes it's an amazing and extremely artistic film with a strong positive theme.

Posted about this film since early October. But very little people were interested even when link to film was provided.
Substance (2024), is basically a film to help soothe ageing Hollywood women who no longer are hot and helps them to accept that they are ageing. if you want to know what Margaret Qualley, Andie Mcdowell's daughter, looks like naked or even what a naked Demi Moore looks like now, you can see it in this film.
