That resolution seems smaller than a regular desktop machine.

on phone but using "Desktop site" in Brave. Same way I used to misc. Is there a setting I need to change or have to deal with it? Would love it side by side but not if it's going to be a bunch of work for you.

1. Can you make it so the subforums list is collapsable? It takes up a full page, plus the forum stickies below its like a page and a half before I see a thread.

2. Can you you rename this area from the "main forum" to just "misc"?

Great work on this forum btw. It has the potential to get a userbase outside of the hardcore misc users, something old misc failed to do over the last 10 years

I remember misc had a green icon on threads you have posted in before. Makes it easier to track where you have been when threads get bumped a day later etc.

Can we see who liked our disliked our posts? I had someone go on my profile disliking all of my posts and I'd like to know who it was. What I used to love about negs was knowing and the messages behind it.

User Settings > Account and at the bottom of page there is an Ignore List where you can add users

And it actually works unlike before. All threads and posts made by that person are wiped out of existence.

I think it has to be implemented. Admin probably already knows how to do this, but this might help if he needs to look it up.

Have you logged out and logged back in after the change was made? Not sure if it will make a difference.

This could be happening to the first people who signed up when I didn't have custom titles on. PM me, or share here, what you want your user title to be. I'll set it in the admin cp. Hopefully that will also turn it on for you.

Fuark. Notifications and subscriptions do seem to be bugged, which is weird because I haven't changed any setting related to them.

Probably already mentioned (?) but I can't access the forum from my work PC.

It's likely the cert provider. We're using Let's Encrypt for our issuer. Some work security software only recognizes the "big" companies like DigiCert, or GeoTrust.

The cert itself is valid until December.

If other users continue to have this issue, we can buy a cert.

couldn't find any screenshot, but iirc it was in a diffierent colored box. Made it stand out more as something to click so you didn't overlook it.

I think the two biggest priorities for success are this

Improved layout of the forum (see post #112), making this place as visually easy and familiar as possible will help a lot

Second is a new rep system. I'm not sure if that's possible, but if we could possibly get something like the real Misc's rep system, that would be incredible.

I also agree with these. Good suggestions - the sub-sections (currently called Forums) is too big, a lot of people might not even realize the normal threads are below it. Renaming them sub-sections, and possibly moving them elsewhere (maybe up a level in the forum?) might help.

I also agree with these. Good suggestions - the sub-sections (currently called Forums) is too big, a lot of people might not even realize the normal threads are below it. Renaming them sub-sections, and possibly moving them elsewhere (maybe up a level in the forum?) might help.

Going to need to take a snapshot on AWS before moving the forums around.

Last time I moved things around, the server went belly up, so I'll do it during a maintenance window just in case. I also just created a NewMisc twitter account for status updates just in case the server goes down for any reason.

On the main pages, if a thread is multi-paged (like this one), can there be a button to automatically go to the "last" page? Right now you have to open it and I sometimes totally miss that it's multiple pages long. That's a nice feature that existed on real Misc so I can go straight to most recent page. Also helps things look busier

This is one of the things that drives me nuts on this forum. I'll comb through the settings. I tend to just go all the way to the bottom and click the last page, which is annoying as fook.
