Can I get to the airport very early and sleep (SRS)?

I'm going to Charlotte, NC on December 7th to watch a football game @ 8PM that will probally be done around 11 PM.

My flight out is the following day, December 8th, at noon.

I have an airbnb booked but I was just thinking why spend money on the uber back + an airBNB when I could just UBER to the airport after the game and sleep there until my flight in the morning.

Anyone ever do anything like that? Thoughts?

Of course you can. People deal with long layovers and overnight delays all the time. Some of them choose to sleep in the airport. You won't even stick out srs.

I've done this and it fucking sucks. First off you can't necessarily get through security because it's not some 24/7 thing so you'll be "sleeping" out in the ticket area.

Even if you do get through though it doesn't matter. Absolutely everything is closed. The chairs aren't made for sleeping. You'll have all your shit with you and sleeping on the floor sucks.

I'll never do it again. Trust me just spend the money on an airbnb unless you're like super poor and like to pretend to be homeless which is basically what this is like.

Yeah when I have gotten caught with overnight layovers, sleeping in the terminal sucks ass. Can't get comfortable, dirty, noisy.

You definitely can do it. Charlotte Airport isn't that great though. I was there a year ago dropping a relative off. It's dirty, most of the employees were rude, and there wasn't much security in the lobbies/waiting areas.

If you've got airline lounge membership, sure. It will be comfortable enough.

If you're too poverty to afford that, find a bush outside the airport to sleep under like the poverty scum you are.

i've done it, it's fine. get some ear plugs and a way to sleep such that your shit wont get took. its kinda cozy if you find the right corner.

I’d be paranoid someone would try to grab my shit or run my pockets so I couldn’t get comfy sleeping I’d be on guard and shit. Plus the airport is usally dirty and loud and everyone is rude.

It's been quite few years but Charlotte airport was awful for sleeping. All chairs had arms so no laying across them. Pay for a lounge or get ready for floor time.
