Anyone here use this commercial leg press

I know dumb question seeing as no one lifts lol . I’m not sure how you start your reps. Like do you have to start with your legs squashed . It would be nice if there’s a release ,so you push on the plate when your legs are stretched out a bit ,but I have no idea

Glad to be back with my fam

Looks like you have to squeeze into it then force the footplate out into position to start the set - but get squeezed in again to get out

Hell if I know, I do limited leg work lulz

I dunno...I just don't think a pin loaded selectorized leg press machine is really as effective as plate loaded.

Tbh I think the plate option is better . I was just looking at this as an option for saving room , as it’s going to be a tight squeeze by the time I add bumper plate racks. The plate load one from Powertec has no horns to store plates

I'd definitely go the plate option

You usually release the lock, move it down to squish and start reps from there.

For this cable one, you just set the weight and go.

I think these only go up to like 400 pounds so you’ll max it out pretty quick

I prefer the plate loaded machines

Actually that’s something I never even considered. Pretty much a deal breaker now, guess I’ll be sticking with Powertec
