It's the DHT suppression from finasteride. I've taken acne meds that had similar side effects and turned into a massive sensitive avoidant geek. I warned him numerous times about it but he just calls me a hater stopping him from his chad hair goals.

That's not true at all, you will get some initial regrowth but it plateaus in the first year. The younger you are the better the recovery
