      10/6: The Devil's Honey (1986)

One of the few Fulci movies that I haven't gotten around to seeing. This film is filthy, disgusting, perverted and makes me want to take up the saxophone...

no trailer available so here is a short clip:

You know what you're getting with Elvira, and you either love it or can't stand it.

My dad had us watching Elvira stuff since I was about 5. She hosted a show or something? I can barely remember what all she did, I just remember she was pretty ubiquitous staying the weekends at my dad's.

Something Elvira was in that OP might be unaware of:

Yeah, I remember the vid...She's still awesome and active. She's gonna be doing her live show at Knott's Berry Farm for a few days later this month. Wish I could have mae it to LA this October.

Post movies that legit scared you or caused you to jump.

The only one I can think of was the last Halloween movie I saw in the theatre..Blair Witch. I jumped at the end when the dude was just facing the corner inside the house. NGL

Can't say many horror films scare me as an adult in the traditional sense, but some I find deeply disturbing like Threads (1984) or Targets (1968).

Truth be told I'm usually more disturbed by war movies more than horror movies given that they are based on real life tragedy.

Yes, TCM is a heightened take on the Ed Gein story. But stories of the ramification of war like in The Best Years of Your Lives for instance is harder for me to watch.

Ya it’s unfortunate he’s gone. Last year he did a face plant in the living room and broke the bust . I didn’t bother fixing it and actually gave the jacket away 2 weeks ago to a young guy I used to work with .
The funny part is I really miss him . He sure brought the lols when people came over . Took me about a year to get used to someone standing in my living room without having heart palpitations when he caught me off guard

I just watch horror movies throughout the year, so Halloween is not special in that sense.

                                    10/8: The Ghost Breakers (1940)

This is a really fun comedy with some cool haunted house atmosphere and Bob Hope his great. Some really terrific lines.

Probably the weirdest and most odd Sonny Chiba movie I have seen. Not really sure what was going on the whole time but it that doesn't mean I didn't have fun watching it.

I enjoyed The Ghost Breakers so much I watched Hope and Goddard's previous outing. These are close to being on par with each other, funny one-liners etc. I think I just find the comedy/horror films of this era delightful overall.

Sounds like the perfect fall night. Finishing off my night with, "Sisters" 1973. I have to watch it every year.

Can't say many horror films scare me as an adult in the traditional sense, but some I find deeply disturbing like Threads (1984) or Targets (1968).
I'm the same way. The only one that stayed with me and gave me goosebumps was Sinister. The Super 8 footage in the attic felt real and disturbing.

                                                    10/11: A Day of Judgment (1981)

Much like Vampires on Bikini Beach, I watched this movie based on the poster alone...And it was a mistake. There are a few brief movies that offer some good horror atmosphere, but overall it wasn't worth watching.

                                                    trailer:

You're a super cool guy, Mr.P. I've never been a "movie guy," but I've always enjoyed hanging out with people that are into movies. And I know it would be the same with you.

Its one of those notoriously terrible yet somehow entertaining films. I guess thats the superpower of director Bruno Mattei. its funnythat one time Hulk Hogan stand-in Richard Dew plays the salty dog in this one, not exactly Robert Shaw but what can you do.
