I think we're going to end up keeping this system, but add in numbers in addition to the stars. I've been fighting with vbulletin and it's just a pretty chit system to extend/add on to.

IMO this version of the rep system keeps alts to a minimum no need to alt when you arent getting mod negged into oblivion.

He said modern vbulletin doesnt have that rep system so he would have to build it in php which is a lot of work.

I wonder why vbulletin removed that feature or at least not left it as an option to turn on or off. Anyways I never really cared for the rep system. It was kinda cool but not that big of a deal

The problem with the old bb.com is they artificially manipulated the rep system. The admins gave themselves a high number of reps and whenever they would rep or neg someone else it would be disproportionate. If they let reps develop organically then it would have served it's purpose better.

Do you guys remember that one poster who had the highest reps and the admins had to lower his reputation because everyone complained about him having too much power or some shit? I forgot his name.
