I hear this sentiment online sometimes. Guy will post a photo of himself wearing a hat. Someone will go “what are you 12? Hats are for kids.” And I’m stunned because I’ve heard this more than once. But it seems like hats are a really common item for a man to wear, especially if he does outdoor activities? So what gives? I don’t understand
Is it considered juvenile to wear a ball cap? Srs

Not so much anymore. The childish thing is a cultural holdover from when men still wore other kinds of hats. Baseball caps were for kids while men wore the dressier kinds of hats that are all but extinct now. The other part to this is that you can, of course, look like a goober wearing one when it's not appropriate. People will also call that juvenile, but it's not so much the hat as it is the inability to dress yourself for the occasion.🔥 1Comment

IMO if I see a dude with a hat on it's an automatic indicator that they're balding srs. And immediately my emotion is sympathy.
If I was going out with intent to pick up chicks, I'd not wear a hat (full-head-of-hair-crew). Otherwise, if with my GF, I'd consider it.Comment
